Due to ongoing staff training for the new Entry Level Scheme, it has been heard on the grapevine that DEFRA-RDS will be looking for capital intensive Stewardship applications this year (i.e. 2004). So now is the time to think about major renovation of historical features, buildings, making boardwalks, bracken control, etc. Smallholding projects of just a few acres of annual payments (as opposed to capital grants) may be sidelined....
