The harvesting of seed from Yorkshire Dales SSSI hay meadows has recently been completed, and the mixture is available for sale from a major seed company. The machine used (a brush harvester) is available for hire, enabling you to reseed disturbed areas, without having to buy a seed mix, and with the certainty that you are not introducing inappropriate seeds. However, results with native mixes are not as attractive as when you use a 'designer mixture'.
