Upland Entry Level Stewardship Scheme
The Uplands Entry Level Stewardship Scheme (or UELS ) starts in the 1st of July 2010.
UELS is the successor to HLA, and is basically a new ELS agreement which pays an additional £32 per hectare for land within the Seriously Disadvantaged Area (SDA).
We are currently working flat-out submitting applications via the Natural England on-line application system, which will ensure the fastest possible processing time.
In addition, Giles is running many workshops and farm walks in Yorkshire and the North East regions on behalf of Natural England.
Contact us to arrange for an application or an upgrade from ELS. An upgrade can cost as little as £400 - there is some extra surveying required for UELS.
